Installation of Point2CAD

1. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

Computer with the following software and hardware elements installed:

• Microsoft Windows 7 or newer operating system.
• SolidWorks 2010 SP1 - 2014 (32 or 64bit)
• Supported Faro, MicroScribe, Romer or Kreon / Baces3D arm.
• Internet connection (Only when managing software license)

 2. INSTALLATION

• Register or login to www.point2cad.com.
• Go to the Downloads page, download the installer matching your operating system package (32 or 64 bits) and install it. Any previous Point2CAD installations will be updated automatically.

3. ENABLE AUTO RUN (SolidWorks 2012 and earlier versions)

• Start SolidWorks.
• If this is a fresh install, Point2CAD might not start automatically when SolidWorks starts. To enable this function, open a part document, go to ”Tools / Add-Ins...” and check the checkbox of Point2CAD in the 'Start Up' column.
• After pressing "OK" button, the Point2CAD License Manager starts.

3. REQUEST TRIAL LICENSE

• Under 'License Options', press 'Request New' button and enter the same user name and password which you have registered for this site.
• After several seconds a new trial license is assigned to you copy of Point2CAD.

After this procedure you can start using Point2CAD.
